The BYD Qin L is expected to be launched on May 28

We learned from relevant sources that BYD’s new mid-size car, the Qin L, is expected to be launched on May 28. With the launch of this car in the future, it will form a two-car pattern together with Qin PLUS to meet the needs of different users. It is worth mentioning that the starting price of the new car may be more than 120,000 yuan in the future.

In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the “new national tide dragon face aesthetics”, and the large front grille is supplemented by dot matrix elements to decorate, and the visual effect is outstanding. At the same time, the headlight cluster is narrow and sharp, which is highly integrated with the luminous “dragon whisker” raised above. The integrated design not only makes the dragon face more three-dimensional, but also amplifies the horizontal visual effect of the front face.

From the side of the body, the waistline runs from the front fenders to the rear doors, making the body more slender, and the concave rib line under the door creates a three-dimensional cutting effect, highlighting the sense of power of the vehicle. At the same time, it adopts a slip-back design, presenting a “low-lying down” posture and being more youthful.

At the rear, the wider rear shoulder wrap-around design not only echoes the front face, but also adds to the muscular feel of the body silhouette. At the same time, the car adopts a through-type taillight shape, inspired by Chinese knots, and is fully recognizable. In terms of size, the length, width and height are 4830/1900/1495mm, and the wheelbase is 2790mm. As a comparison, the body size of the current Qin PLUS model on sale is 4765/1837/1495mm, and the wheelbase is 2718mm, which can be said that the Qin L is larger than the Qin PLUS as a whole.

In terms of interior, the interior design of Qin L is inspired by Chinese landscape painting, and the agility of oriental landscapes is integrated with modern technology to create a high-style “landscape painting cockpit”. Specifically, the new car uses a built-in large-size LCD instrument cluster with a signature rotatable central control screen, which makes this car look very technological. At the same time, the addition of a new style of three-spoke multi-function steering wheel and wireless mobile phone charging to meet the needs of current users.

Echoing the exterior, Chinese knot elements are also widely used in the interior design of Qin L, the central armrest area, the new BYD Heart crystal ball head shift lever with a facet design, with a unique shape, and core functions such as start, gear shift, and driving mode are integrated around the crystal gear lever for easy daily control.

In terms of power, according to the previous declaration information, the new car will be equipped with a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5L engine and an electric motor, and has BYD’s fifth-generation DM-i hybrid technology. The maximum power of the engine is 74 kW and the maximum power of the motor is 160 kW. The new car is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery from Zhengzhou Fodi, which is available in 15.874 kWh and 10.08 kWh for consumers to choose from, corresponding to a WLTC pure electric range of 90 km and 60 km respectively.
