China’s April New Energy Vehicle Price Index

In March, the price index of the pure electric market was 95.83, a year-on-year increase of 4.95% and a month-on-month increase of 4.92%;

In March, the price index of the pure electric small SUV market was 107.00, a year-on-year increase of 15.89% and a month-on-month increase of 5.60%;

The price index of the plug-in hybrid market (including extended range) was 93.83, down 0.48% year-on-year and up 1.36% month-on-month;

The price index of the plug-in hybrid compact SUV market (including extended range) was 89.14, a year-on-year increase of 0.66% and a month-on-month increase of 1.41%.

The overall price index of new energy vehicles was 96.99, +4.60% year-on-year and +1.67% month-on-month. The average market transaction price was 162,300 yuan, down 18,000 yuan from the same period last year and 18,000 yuan from the previous month.

In terms of market segments, pure electric vehicles are stronger than plug-in hybrids year-on-year and month-on-month. The price index of pure electric vehicles was 97.83, +6.75% year-on-year and +2.09% month-on-month. The average market transaction price was 147,800 yuan, down 12,000 yuan from the same period last year and 28,000 yuan from the previous month. The price index of plug-in hybrid (including extended range) vehicles was 94.69, -0.25% year-on-year and +0.91% month-on-month. The average market transaction price was 198,200 yuan, down 69,000 yuan from the same period last year and up 2,200 yuan from the previous month.

In April, the overall price index of the new energy pure electric market was 97.83, a year-on-year increase of 6.75% and a month-on-month increase of 2.09%. The overall average price of the market was 147,800 yuan, down 12,000 yuan from the same period last year and 28,000 yuan from the previous month. Among them, the price index of the pure electric car market was 98.17, a year-on-year increase of 8.47% and a month-on-month increase of 2.85%. The price index of the pure electric SUV market was 99.57, a year-on-year increase of 4.93% and a month-on-month increase of 1.10%; the average price was 190,600 yuan, down 104,000 yuan from the same period last year, and 60,000 yuan from the previous month.
